WE WANT DISORDER
As part of a counter-movement of the festivities around the closure of NY’s fashion week in February and September; COLONY states and celebrates that NY’s culture generators do not reside in the comforted perception of New York's style after "sex and the city clichès”, social privileges or mainstream businesses. COLONY NYFWs afterparty is not aligned with these media celebrations and we are showing the urgency to bring chaos and discomfort into the fashion industry.
In the words of Clarice Lispector, “Coherence, I don’t want it any more. Coherence is mutilation. I want disorder.”
FUCK ART, LET’S CRASH.
